Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Is Now Streaming on Netflix

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 premiered on Netflix on October 20, 2026, with all 10 episodes released simultaneously. Produced by CD PROJEKT RED and Japanese animation studio TRIGGER, the new series returns to Night City four years after the original anime debuted in 2022.

Rather than continuing David Martinez's story, the second installment follows a new group of characters whose lives become connected through revenge, family, and the struggle to survive in Night City.

• Talia Yang: A fiercely independent young woman shaped by corporate life and the violent, cyberware-obsessed Maelstrom gang.

The anime is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with Bartosz Sztybor returning as showrunner and writer.

Although the second series introduces a different cast, it remains connected to the original Edgerunners through its setting and themes. David and Lucy's story is not directly continued. Instead, the new season explores another side of Night City, focusing on characters facing their own struggles with ambition, loss, and survival.

To coincide with the anime's release, CD PROJEKT RED is bringing Edgerunners 2 content into Cyberpunk 2077 through Update 2.5.
