K/DA Returns After Six Years With FIRESTARTER MV and New Skins
Two new singers join K/DA as Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai’Sa prepare for another skin release.

Riot Games has brought K/DA back with a new song, a refreshed lineup, and four new looks for Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai’Sa. The group’s long-awaited comeback also has players wondering when the next wave of K/DA skins will arrive in League of Legends.
Riot released the official “FIRESTARTER” music video on October 18, 2026 (Pacific Time), marking K/DA’s first new music since the ALL OUT EP in 2020.
The virtual girl group, which first debuted with “POP/STARS” at the 2018 League of Legends World Championship, returns with all four original champions. This time, however, two of the singers behind them have changed.
The music video was created by Fortiche, the French animation studio behind Arcane and the original “POP/STARS” MV. It features a new red-and-black visual style, with metallic outfits, fiery effects, and choreography by Sean Bankhead.
The release also came earlier than expected. K/DA had teased an October 20 announcement, but after the song leaked online, Riot moved up the music video premiere.

K/DA's New Singers: Who Returned and Who Changed?
Two familiar voices are back for “FIRESTARTER.” MIYEON and SOYEON of i-dle return as Ahri and Akali, continuing the roles they have held since K/DA's debut.
The other two members have new singers. Canadian artist Sophie Powers takes over Evelynn's vocals from Madison Beer, while British singer Mimi Webb replaces Jaira Burns as Kai’Sa.
Here is the updated lineup:
| K/DA Member | FIRESTARTER (2026) | Original Singer (2018) |
|---|---|---|
| Ahri | MIYEON (i-dle) | MIYEON |
| Akali | SOYEON (i-dle) | SOYEON |
| Evelynn | Sophie Powers | Madison Beer |
| Kai’Sa | Mimi Webb | Jaira Burns |

This makes “FIRESTARTER” the first K/DA comeback without Madison Beer and Jaira Burns, who helped establish the group's original sound with “POP/STARS.”
The new voices have drawn mixed reactions from listeners, particularly those who hoped to hear the original lineup together again. Still, the return of MIYEON and SOYEON keeps a familiar part of K/DA's sound intact.
Unlike the group's 2020 “MORE” release, Seraphine does not appear in the new single's credited lineup.
K/DA FIRESTARTER Skins: Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai’Sa
Alongside the new music, K/DA's four members have appeared in redesigned outfits that are widely expected to become a new FIRESTARTER skin collection.
The designs move away from the lighter styling of ALL OUT, using red, black, and silver outfits with metallic details and sharper silhouettes.

While Riot has not yet confirmed the final skin tiers, leaks connected to League of Legends: Wild Rift suggest the following lineup:
| Champion | Reported Skin Tier |
|---|---|
| Ahri | Ultimate |
| Akali | Legendary |
| Evelynn | Epic + Prestige |
| Kai’Sa | Epic |
Ahri appears to be getting the most elaborate treatment. Leaks suggest an Ultimate-tier skin with multiple forms and additional visual effects. Her new look features shorter dark hair and a red-and-black outfit.
Akali is reportedly receiving a Legendary skin. Her design includes pink hair, an oversized visor, metallic clothing, and a more streetwear-inspired appearance.
Evelynn is expected to receive an Epic skin alongside a Prestige edition. Her FIRESTARTER look features a fitted red outfit, silver details, and a striking new hairstyle.
Kai’Sa is reportedly getting an Epic skin, with a red-and-silver outfit and redesigned shoulder cannons that match the group's new theme.
These tiers are based on leaked information, primarily associated with Wild Rift. The PC version's skin rarities have not been officially confirmed and may differ.
When Will K/DA FIRESTARTER Skins Be Released?

The new FIRESTARTER EP is officially scheduled for October 21, 2026, just two days after the music video's wider release.
As for the skins, current leaks point to November 4, 2026, potentially alongside League of Legends Patch 26.22.
If that schedule is accurate, players could get their first in-game look at the collection on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) around October 21.
Riot has not yet confirmed the skin release date, individual RP prices, or bundle costs. The reported Ultimate, Legendary, Epic, and Prestige classifications also remain subject to change.
For now, the music video is available to watch, and the full EP is only days away. Players will need to wait for Riot's official skin reveal to find out exactly what the FIRESTARTER collection includes and how much it will cost.
Editor's Comment
Six years is a long wait, and it's good to see K/DA back with more than just a short teaser. Fortiche's animation looks great, and the new outfits give all four members a noticeably different style.
The singer changes will probably take some getting used to, especially for anyone who still has “POP/STARS” on repeat. As for the skins, Ahri's rumored Ultimate edition sounds interesting, but the actual in-game effects and pricing will matter more than the leaked rarity labels.
